About the Film

The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency. Yet most people have never been fully briefed on what this means for our lives, our economy and our future.

Last year the National Emergency Briefing brought together leading experts to present the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis to politicians and other influential people in Westminster.

This new 50-minute film sets out the risks facing the nation - and the credible, positive responses available - in a clear and accessible way. It combines scientific content from the Westminster event with reactions from members of the public and some more familiar faces - designed to help audiences process the information on a more human level.

The film delivers frank facts about the threats, but also the enormous benefits if Government leads genuine emergency action.

After the screening there will be a structured discussion to enable everyone to process what they have heard and find positive ways to confront the challenge together and create a better future.

The National Emergency Briefing is the result of leading experts and concerned citizens joining forces to encourage UK decision-makers to step up their response to the escalating climate and nature crisis, starting with a prime-time televised emergency briefing to the nation. It is supported by a wide range of well-known organisations.
