We are Haringey Friends of the Earth – a small group making a difference over many years of local campaigning.
> We’ve persuaded Haringey Council to be more ambitious about cutting carbon emissions, moving funds out of fossil fuel industries, and making new buildings greener.
> We keep up pressure on our three MPs, meeting David Lammy, Catherine West and Bambos Charalambous regularly to make sure they understand the need for urgent action.
> We plant trees and support practical environmental projects across the borough.
Next Meeting: 7pm - Thursday 20 Nov (ONLINE via ZOOM) Members will send a link. Non Members can request attendance use our enquiry form.
We continue to spread the word and gain support for FOE's "Planet over Profit" Campaign. Our key campaign this year.

If you live in Haringey and want to make a difference, by acting locally on big issues, get in touch. We are a friendly group made up of people contributing, their time and skills, in whatever way they feel willing and able to do. Inquire about membership or to join our non-member mailing list.
Friends of the Earth is the UK's biggest grassroots network dedicated to protecting people and planet. We are one of over 200 groups around the UK, thinking globally and acting locally.
Over many years FOE members in Haringey have built strong relationships with local politicians and people. You will often find us at local events and markets sharing news and garnering support for the latest Friends of the Earth campaigns. Come and say hello!
Holding our local politicians to account is critical to ensure promises are kept. We have regular meeting with our MPs and organise environment focussed hustings when election time comes around.
We enjoy getting our hands in the earth whenever we get the chance. One of our recent project is the planting of a micro-wood in the Dairy Field on White Hart Lane. So if you have green fingers - we need you!
We really seek out and celebrate creative ways to lobby and get our messages across. Our projects incude:
A fabulous quilt for the Warm Homes Campaign
A unique Family Treasure Hunt for the Lordship Produce Fair
Flying Bee Buzz Game for children for the Bee Campaign
FOE UK have been campaigning for over 50 years. Making it the largest grassroots environmental campaigning community in the UK.
FOE believe that groups are the local solution to the global climate crisis. Each group is made up of volunteers from all types of backgrounds, people just like you. From taking a stand on local issues, to supporting national campaigns and communities around the world, these groups take the urgent action we need. https://friendsoftheearth.uk/
